PROPERTY DEVELOPERS
CWS Lawyers acts exclusively for a large number of developers in Western Australia including Mirvac, Peet Limited and Capricorn Village. Some of our recent subdivisions have involved in excess of 90 lots having to settle on the same day. Because of our structure and knowledge we have been able to accommodate our clients.
MORTGAGE RECOVERY
CWS Lawyers was formerly part of the law firm Clark Whyte which conducted a comprehensive mortgage processing practice. Clark Whyte had developed expertise in assisting mortgagees in recovering possession of properties where the borrower was in default and also assisting mortgagees in the subsequent sale of those properties. Both Peta Whyte and Mark Diamond have extensive knowledge in this area of practice.
GENERAL PROPERTY MATTERS
We can and do provide general advice to potential buyers and sellers of property in Western Australia. This advice is not restricted to our corporate clients. Our experience and knowledge of the Western Australian property market ideals positions of for the provision of this advice. We have extensive knowledge about the pitfalls of buying property in Western Australia and can and do assist with due diligence if required.
INDEPENDENT LEGAL ADVICE
As a result of a High Court decision most Australian lenders require a guarantor to obtain independent legal advice when signing their guarantee. The purpose of this requirement is to ensure that a guarantor is made fully aware of the consequences that can flow from giving a lender a guarantee. Due to our experience in acting for lenders we are well positioned to provide guarantors with both legal and practical advice in respect of their guarantee.
WILLS AND PROBATE
The provision of Wills and Probate advice to our clients has been an integral part of our legal offering for a long period of time. We recently expanded this part of the practice due to an association with a Wills promoter. As a result of that relationship our knowledge in this field was greatly enhanced and we are confident that we can provide the right sort of Will for our clients at an affordable price.
WORKERS COMPENSATION
Mark Diamond has been providing workers compensation advice and representation to insurers for in excess of 20 years. Please note that we only provide advice to insurers to avoid any possible conflict.
